No. Players wishing to join the Developmental program should sign up for the next available session.
Developmental players must be registered prior to the registration deadline for the desired sessions. If you miss the registration deadline, please contact the Developmental Director (jberna@dbq.edu) regarding space availability. No additions will be made after the start of the session.
Players in the Developmental program will train once a week, coordinated with the game times. U9 Developmental program participants can elect to have one extra training session per week (additional fee).
In the Developmental program, each session includes 6 games.
All Developmental program games are held at the Dubuque Soccer Complex.
Developmental program sessions typically run in 6 consecutive single weekend days (Saturday or Sunday depending on the session). This can vary if conflicting with holiday weekends or due to weather.

Current DSC players are strongly encouraged to attend the DSC Player Placements. Their place in the club as a member is available every year. Players wishing to join Academy from Developmental or to join from outside the club are required to come to player placement unless approved by the Director of Coaching.

Players in the Academy program will train twice per week for 1.5hrs during the active soccer seasons. Specific dates and times will vary based on facility and coach availability but are typically scheduled on weekday evenings between 5pm and 8pm.
The number of games played each season varies based on several factors, but the average number of league games in the fall and spring seasons is 8. No league games are held during the winter season.
League games are typically held within 100 miles of Dubuque, IA.
No. Typically teams will play two games on a single weekend game date. Teams will typically travel for games outside of Dubuque, IA on 4-5 single weekend days throughout the Fall and Spring Seasons.
Tournament opportunities are available throughout the year, offering players
the chance to test their skills in more competitive games. Rosters for these
tournaments are competitive and limited. Please note that costs associated with
participating in tournaments are not included in the annual fees and are handled
separately. Participation in tournaments is entirely optional, allowing families to choose
which events best fit their schedules and budget.
Fall season runs from mid August to late October or Early November.
Winter season runs from mid January to late March.
Spring/Summer season runs from early April to mid/late June.
We ask that players/families be able to commit to 80% of all DSC related activities. We understand there will potentially be conflicts with outside activities.
Teams are first separated by age. Teams will be organized by event by the head coach, and will often vary from game to game to support increased development of all players. At times, if it is developmentally appropriate, a player may be asked to "play up" with an older age group.
All members within an age group train together. There is the possibility, based on various factors, that teams from different age groups will train together.
Age groups will be used in a number of different ways to enhance player development. Teams could be mixed to play, have small sided games, and may play each other if it is beneficial.
Schedules will be sent through e-mail prior to the start of the season.

Registration can be paid in full or in 4 equal monthly installments.

Yes. DSC runs a club wide fundraiser each fall.
Players in the Developmental program will be provided a T-shirt uniform to wear to all sessions as part of normal player registration fees.
Players in the Academy program will be expected to purchase a uniform package including a home jersey, away jersey, shorts, and socks. Parents will receive an email regarding ordering a uniform after registering a player. A training shirt (provided) and training shorts/socks are expected to be worn at all practices.
Additional apparel items are available for purchase through our team store but are not required.
